The Southwest Taylor Improvements include projects located near the new Samsung factory and are part of the County’s Long-Range Transportation Plan, which is intended to plan for current and future growth by maintaining a high level of safety, mobility, and quality of life for residents and communities.

Segment 1 of Samsung Highway in Williamson County, Texas, opened on October 16, 2023. The four-lane road connects County Road 404 to Farm-to-Market Road 973, and is part of a larger project that will eventually connect Farm-to-Market Road 3349 to FM 973 just south of Samsung’s new semiconductor plant in Taylor.

Construction begins for Segment 2 of Samsung Highway in Williamson County

Samsung Highway Segment 2 between FM 3349 to CR 404 – Capitol Excavation has been contracted for this project. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for June 2, 10 a.m. on Samsung Highway at CR 404. Construction is anticipated to be completed in summer 2024.
